This case involved the digital design of an upper temporary restoration from 15 to 25 on 4 implants in Exocad 3.3.
One of the main challenges was designing around the healing abutments. Because of their position and volume, the provisional had to be bulkier in those areas while still maintaining acceptable contours, tooth position and overall proportions. This required additional adjustments to avoid making the restoration look unnecessarily oversized.
The final design successfully accommodated the healing abutments while keeping the restoration functional and visually balanced across the full 15–25 span.
I have over 2 years of hands-on CAD/CAM experience and have worked on temporary restorations, crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays/onlays, implant-supported cases and full-arch designs for dental laboratories and international clinics.
