This case involved the final digital design of a monolithic zirconia molar crown in Exocad 3.3.
For this specific case, the design was created according to the available occlusal space, preparation geometry and antagonist. Particular attention was given to the contact points, occlusion, marginal fit and posterior morphology to obtain a restoration suitable for final zirconia production.
The design was completed in approximately 30–45 minutes, depending on scan quality and case complexity. The final crown was prepared for production with minimal adjustments required.
I have over 2 years of hands-on CAD/CAM experience and have worked on crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays/onlays, temporary restorations, implant-supported cases and full-arch designs for dental laboratories and international clinics.
